This years trip was relaxing. Part of it was due to the weather. It prevented us from doing multiple morning fish outings. But when we did head out it was a good time. Especially our excursion to Hardiman. The weather was great and the fish were plentiful and large giving tremendous fight and excitement. Life around the camp was good. We helped out with the deck and other upgrades to boats paddles, plumbing and the fish hut. Looking forward to next time! The prime days for July 2027 are 17th and 18th. Big thanks to Andre for hosting! Nice that Richard could come out and share in the fun. Cheers! |

This year's trip was another successful adventure for the FishingPals. We had a small delay with Ben's 'check engine' light coming on, but we didn't have an OBD diagnostic scanner available. Turns out that a can of seafoam motor treatment did the trick. Andre was at the camp to greet us, and we noted the camp upgrades --- bunk beds, new deck and beefed up solar power system to name a few. This year's adventure was to Hardiman Lake, where the bass were biting and the sun was shining. It's always nice to try out a new body of water! We still caught a few walleye in Sashihaw, and there is an endless supply of pike, so our wontons are not in any danger of being cancelled. The boys went walkabout in the forest, while Ben and I went for blueberries. Ben was able to survive with his charcoal pills, and we managed to get the steamed fish dinner completed again. Looking forward to next year! |

This year, I drove the boats for the most part instead doing much fishing which was a good change thus my total fish catch amounted to zero. |
